A little portrait

Here is a quick little portrait I did of one of my second grade students. (He asked me if I would turn him into a werewolf, LOL!)

For all of you teachers out there!

Two More Fun Little Trading Cards

'Blue Lightning'

'Sparkle'

I am adding these two trading cards to the mix for my Facebook artist page giveaway. I am just making these as something fun for those interested in collecting artist trading cards, and those who like my paintings. These were named by second graders, and are signed and dated too. Cheers!

Crooked Smile

I haven't done a self-portrait in a long time. So... I just had to do one little sketch. :-P Have a great weekend, everyone!

Paisley!!!

For some reason, I have always loved paisley. When I was in high school, I wore paisley so often, that I was sometimes called 'Paisley Girl.' Anyway, I'm excited because an art teacher friend of mine lent me her class set of french curves so that I can do this cool paisley lesson with my fourth graders. I can't wait to see how they turn out.

Soon to be taggable on Facebook to win

"Fire Swamp"

"Blast Off..."

"Oranges"

"Flying Colors"

They are original signed and dated artist trading cards! I showed them to some of my first grade students and they named each one for me. Hope you like them,. LOL! I will get some of my paintings up on Etsy for sale soon. I just have to figure out the copy. :-)

One of my new toys at work

I can't wait to get my little Lumens Ladybug going. Doesn't it look like fun?! It's so cute, I think I'll name it. :-D

Just another brag...

Hee-hee... my garden looks pretty. :-)

Awww... my very first professional print! :-D

I'm gonna put it up for sale on my Etsy shop here in a few minutes. I had the printing done at Holland Photo Imaging, and they did a great job. It is a giclee print on some of the coolest off-white papers I have seen. I had them print on an 8 x 10 paper size with a quarter inch border, but I think this piece would look really nice cropped to an 8 x 8 size too...

Surprises in the garden today!

My beautiful Belinda's Dream rose is about to explode in blooms!

My 'Celebrity' tomato is a bit small for my tomato cage, but I love my hot pink tomato cage! hahaha Also, my thyme has such cute little white blooms.

My poppies had their first spring blooms this morning.

I love my little groups of violas and pansies. I planted them this past fall, but after adding a little rose glow natural fertilizer they are blooming like crazy!

Yay! My very first sweet pea bloom! It smells wonderful. :-)

Last but not least, Tiger, my little gardening buddy/flower blossom nibbler/cutie that needs a bath.
Hope everyone is having a nice week.
