Here's another tessellation example and a scan of the Frida book finished. (The tessellation was originally supposed to be someone laughing, but it always makes me want to yawn when I look at it. hahaha!)
Today, I am going on a field trip with the fifth graders to the Austin Museum of Art. We were invited after the educational director there saw my student's fantasy maps. So... yay! They even paid for one of our buses to go, so that's awesome.

Well, it's almost Friday again... Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.

Dear Inspiration

I've missed you... I'm hoping you'll come back around soon. I have a lot that I want to accomplish, so... whenever you are ready to, go ahead and come around again. :-)

I have GOT to get back into the gym on a regular basis and get back on top of my acting work. I am thinking about starting Saturday morning audition classes for a little while. I guess I'll see how it goes. I HAVE to get my materials together and get this show on the road. My brother, Steve Powers is getting so much acting work right now (he should, he's amazing), and I want to get in on all of this work going around right now too!

I know my inspiration is just around the corner, and I can't wait to meet up with it again. haha

Tired

I had my last class of this session with Ben Taylor last night. It was great, but I couldn't help noticing that I felt all evening like I was out of body. I just couldn't seem to connect with my feelings/intentions... It was very frustrating. I think I may just need to get more sleep. After class, I didn't get home until after midnight, and didn't get to sleep till after 1:00. It was worth it though. I really love that class. I just have to keep reminding myself that in just four weeks I will have LOTS of time to rest. :-)

Working Through

I had an interesting encounter with my garbage disposal this weekend. It involved some old rice, that I ummm... thought I could dispose of... Haha... long story short, I HAD to try it, and now I HAVE a plumber coming over to fix it... (I must be some kind of scientist or something-hahaha) I still have so much going on right now. I'm getting ready to get a few new headshots, I am getting my classroom, students, etc. ready to close shop for summer. Only 21 more days of work... CRAZY! This year has flown by for me, for so many reasons.

At the moment I am trying to find things that make me feel peaceful and productive. I've been so busy and stressed lately; I suddenly realized yesterday that I've stopped singing. That's my current goal, to get back to where I am so happy, I just sing, for no good reason. I miss it.
