Artist Trading Cards!

My classes are starting to make artist trading cards. Here are just a few of the amazing ideas my students have come up with.

Snow!!! Woo-hoo!!!

Please excuse my messy snow hair and lack of make-up. I dodged a few snow balls. Seriously. :-)

Introducing PURPLE...

I'm still playing around with colors and textures. I used a little purple and red in this piece. These little abstract pieces have been so much fun. :-)

Today...

I am working on orders, entering grades, school blogs, etc.

Tonight, I plan to "get busy" (:-P) and seriously work on revamping my website, blog and Etsy shop. I have a lot of ideas, and I am ready to get them going! 2010, Here I come! - PS- I'm hungry... :-/

...and Oooo.... I just found a lesson plan called "Ultimate Paisley Patterns!" You know how I love me some paisley!

Starry Night Technique Class

Thursday night I had a lot of fun at Ceramics Bayou taking the glazing technique class that my friend Heather was teaching. They offer this class regularly and I highly recommend it. Here are some pics of the fun. :-)

I'm still trying to combine ideas, textures, etc. to find a style I like. Here's a little combination I worked on today. I plan to try incorporating some cut out shapes with this style next. :-) Happy Wednesday! (Brrr... it's cold!) - Hahaha! "Stayin' Alive" just mixed into the Pandora station I have on. I heart the BeeGees, and I haven't heard them in a long time!

Today was my first day at work this week, after being home and feeling under the weather. I still feel like I 'd rather be asleep, but the students at my job always inspire me and a little of their energy seems to rub off on me. :-)
