Life...
Around noon, I drove to north Austin to pick up Spot's ashes. I've found a nice little place for them. When I handed him over to the vet, after he had passed, I asked if I could have a little of his fur, and a few whiskers. She put them in a little tin with some sweet stickers on the top.
After I got home, I did a little weedeating and discovered this little guy on the fence behind my tomatoes. I'm guessing he's one of the reasons I haven't had any pest problems on them. ;-)
This afternoon, I played with Tiger and her new little monkey. She seems to really be enjoying the newly cleaned carpet and house. I know I am. I've been enjoying spending the past couple of mornings helping to teach theater to two different groups of kids. I think I've been having as much fun playing the games and planning for our play as they have. I'll post some pics when we start getting backdrops painted and costumes made. hehe

There's no like button so I'll just say "Steve Likes This".
What a lovely urn! It must be the lighting, but it looks textured.
I love mantids. I had some model kits/dioramas of giant insects terrorizing the big city when I was a kid, and one of them was a praying mantis. "It's the Attack of the 50-Foot Chicken Wing!" Heh heh.
Thanks, Stevesie! :-) I'll try to figure out if I can add a like button.
Thank you, Brian. It isn't textured, but the ways it's painted keeps it from looking too plain.
I like mantids too. When I worked at a nursery in college I would find teeny little ones that were so cute, but man those little suckers can pinch. haha. :-D
